Come learn about the R programming language, and get a taste of how you can use R to explore, manipulate, and visualize data. This workshop is designed for the absolute beginner. No need to bring your own computer—we will provide a laptop with R pre-installed. After the 90 minute workshop, we will end with a brief introduction to library resources.
R is a free, open-source software environment and programming language designed specifically for statistical analysis. RStudio is a free integrated Development Environment that makes using and learning R much easier. In this workshop we'll get you started using R with RStudio, show you how to import data, do some basic data manipulation, create a simple graphic, and point you to resources for going further with R.
