Introduction to Python In-Person
This in-person workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of programming in Python. This course is intended for absolute beginners or anyone wanting to review the basics. This workshop lays the foundation for attendees to understand Python code and begin writing scripts that apply to their work.
The workshop follows the Software Carpentries workshop curriculum "Plotting and Programming in Python." It uses plotting as its motivating example, and is designed to be used in both Data Carpentry and Software Carpentry workshops. This lesson references Jupyter Lab, but can be taught using a regular Python interpreter as well. Please note that this lesson uses Python 3.
