Coding Circle In-Person
Drop in to our informal and inclusive co-working sessions for anyone working with data or code! There's no presentation or formal workshop, just hanging out and working on projects while we finish the cookies from Coffee + Data && Code. Data Services folks with expertise in Python, R, and Excel will be on hand to answer questions, but we equally invite you to share your expertise with and learn from other attendees. This is an opportunity to learn new data analysis and programming skills and meet other people working on exciting projects!
As we develop our programming, some sessions will be focused on specific topics; you are welcome to work on anything, but we will focus on discussing the specific topic listed:
- Jan 19th, cancelled in favor of Command Line Essentials (separate registration here), in the DREAM Lab workshop space
- Jan 26th, Beta-Datathon: explore the data associated with the WiDS Datathon. The Datathon is a collaborative machine learning challenge open both to novices and to those with prior machine learning experience. Find teammates, prepare data, and chat with peers about machine learning.
- Feb 2nd, Beta-Datathon: we will continue to support entrants into the WiDS Datathon. Find teammates, prepare data, and chat with peers about machine learning.
