Command Line Essentials: Filesystems and the Unix Shell In-Person / Online

Working in a research lab for the first time? Learning to code? This workshop teaches the fundamentals of command line interfaces, filesystem navigation, and scripting in Bash. Mastering the command line will allow you to write and run software at scale. This course serves as a stepping stone towards coding in your preferred programming language. 

No prior experience with the command line (or programming) is required. Bring a laptop with your preferred operating system! Participants with Windows laptops will need to install Git Bash before the workshop.

Light snacks will be provided.
