Coffee + Data && Code

Coffee + Data && Code In-Person / Online

Join us every other week for an engaging and informative gathering where we dive into fascinating data science projects over coffee and cookies!

Coffee + Data && Code is a casual event that brings together curious minds to explore interesting projects and questions in the world of data analysis, statistics, and research at UO. Each week, we will have a brief presentation of someone's research, a project, or a topic in the data world. These presentations will cover a wide range of topics from all fields but will focus on the effect data or coding had on the project. After the presentation, we encourage open and lively discussions about the topic. Participants can ask questions, share their thoughts, and talk with the presenter and fellow attendees.

Beyond presentations and discussion, these bi-weekly meetings are an excellent opportunity to network with other curious individuals, whether you are a student, faculty member, or simply someone with a passion for learning and data. Discussions will likely continue during Coding Circle, which immediately follows Coffee & Code in the same space.

There will be 4 sessions of Coffee + Data && Code in Spring 2024. We will have new topics each week- feel free to register for the entire term but only join for topics that interest you.

We will be meeting in-person in the Sofa area of the DREAM Lab in Knight Library. Coffee and cookies will be provided. Attendees will also have the option to join via Zoom.
