Introduction to Python In-Person / Online
This ten-session hybrid workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of programming in Python through interactive programming exercises. Develop core programming skills that will allow you to write Python scripts for your own work. Topics covered included basic Python syntax, Jupyter notebooks, variables, data types, mathematical functions, data structures, data visualization, and useful libraries like Pandas. This workshop series follows this Software Carpentries workshop curriculum.
This interactive course is intended for absolute beginners or anyone who wants to review the basics. No experience required!
Before the workshop, please install Anaconda and JupyterLab so you can code along. Having trouble with the installation? Come 15 minutes early or schedule a quick appointment with Data Services if you need help.
