Introduction to SQL: Databases for Beginners In-Person / Online
Interested in databases? Considering work in the financial or nonprofit sectors? This interactive workshop teaches the fundamentals of using SQL (Structured Query Language) to extract and analyze data from relational databases. Learn how to sort, filter, aggregation, and join data with SQL by writing your own queries!
No experience required, though participants may benefit from familiarity with programming languages like R or Python. The first class will be an orientation session dedicated to installation and configuration. The curriculum for this workshop will be based in part on this Software Carpentry class.
