Talapas Summer Retreat In-Person
Join RACS, the engineers behind Talapas, and other members of the UO high-performance computing community in the Price Science Commons Visualization Lab from 1:30pm-4:00pm for a fun and informative afternoon over cold beverages and snacks. We’ll discuss news about the cluster, give live demonstrations of Slurm best practices, teach code and data management skills, and go over tips and tricks for optimizing your Talapas workflows.
Have specific Talapas questions? At the end of the session, we’ll break off into smaller groups for one-on-one help with Slurm configuration, quota management, Git/GitHub, and virtual environment configuration.

Prerequisites
Come with a laptop and access to Talapas! This event is open to all Talapas users, but novice to intermediate users will get the most out of the experience. Those who have not used Talapas before and are new to command-line programming are encouraged to join our comprehensive Introduction to High-Performance Computing workshop in October.
