Master the Tidyverse Workshop Series 4: readr

Master the Tidyverse Workshop Series 4: readr In-Person

Have you been curious about R but hesitatant to dive in? Would you like to develop reproducible code for processing, cleaning, and visualizing your data? Join us for a 60-minute introductory workshop about reading data into RStudio using the readr package. Readr is part of the tidyverse, a coherent system of packages for data manipulation, exploration and visualization that share a common design philosophy. The goal of readr is to provide a fast and friendly way to read rectangular data (like csv, tsv, and fwf). It is designed to flexibly parse many types of data found in the wild, while still cleanly failing when data unexpectedly changes. Part 4 of a 6 part workshop series, Master the Tidyverse. While you do not need to have attended previous sessions to attend this workshop, please review the materials from the first three workshops to ensure that you will feel comfortable stepping into the sequence.

R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics which compiles and runs on a wide variety of computer platforms. It has become increasingly popular among researchers in many academic disciplines. R is the most widely used tool for reproducible research, enabling open access reproducible science.
