Python Workshop II: Applied Python

Python Workshop II: Applied Python In-Person

As the second installment of the three part series, this workshop delves into the world of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). APIs allow for the extraction and querying of data from online sources without any need to download the data onto your own computer. The benefits of APIs are it allows for the utilization of data that is frequently updated to be utilized continuously, can extract a smaller portion of a much larger data set without have to download it first, and works well with loops and automated processes.

This workshop will teach attendees how to process JSON data, format it correctly, and be ready to use for any kind of analysis or exporting to a different data type. It is strongly recommended that attendees have some preexsiting Python or coding knowledge or have attended the first Python workshop offered by Data Services.
