Introduction to SQL 2: Ordering, Summarizing, and Calculating Data Online
Remote workshop. Do you work with databases and want to understand them better or learn how to query them? Or do you work with spreadsheets and wonder if a relational database is for you? This introductory workshop sequence is designed for folks with no programming background. In the first class you will learn how to do the following:
- Review filtering in SQL
- Use SQL functions like
AVG
in combination with clauses likeGROUP BY
to aggregate values and return results for reports. - Make calculations on fields using SQL.
- Understand how to build queries, and the order in which to build the parts.
